The IBER 2013, 12th Iberian Joint Meeting on Atomic and Molecular Physics, is organized by the Atomic and Molecular Physics Division of the Portuguese Physics Society (Sociedade Portuguesa de Física), in collaboration with the Atomic and Molecular Physics Group of the Spanish Societies of Physics and Chemistry (Real Sociedad Española de Física and Real Sociedad Española de Química).
The main purpose of this series of meetings is to gather scientists from the Iberian community, working in atomic and molecular physics and related fields of chemistry, as well as their applications, in order to facilitate the interaction and exchange of knowledge among their research groups. The different research groups are welcome to give visibility to their work and achieved results. Researchers from all over the world are also welcome.
The IBER 2013 will take place from 9th to 11th September in the historical city of Seville. Seville has one of the most extensive old towns in Europe, hosting one of the largest cathedrals of Gothic times, with its famous bell-tower, La Giralda, reconstructed from the minaret of the original mosque, the Royal Alcazar, which displays a beautiful mixture of moorish and Renaissance styles, and La Torre del Oro, a defensive barrier on the river port.
The conference will address a broad range of topics emphasizing the latest developments and future perspectives in Iberian atomic and molecular physics.
